    Stammvater des in der Klein-Eisenindustrie tätigen Geschlechts ist Adolph up der Brüggen genannt Goecke (um 1600- nach 1652), Reidemeister in Altena. Sein Sohn →Adolph (1634–1715) war Drahtseil-Reidemeister. Von zweien seiner Söhne, Dietrich (siehe Genealogie 3) und Hermann (siehe Genealogie 1), stammen die unten Behandelten ab.
