Biographical Presentation
Brassicanus: Johann Alexander B., ebenfalls ursprünglich Köl, und nicht, wie Niceron und nach ihm Jöcher angibt, Kohlburger, ist wahrscheinlich der Sohn des vorigen. Er inscribirte sich in Tübingen im Mai 1515 unter Johannes Stöffler's Rectorat, wurde 21. Juli 1517 von der Artistenfacultät zum Magister creirt, veröffentlichte 1519 eine Sammlung kleiner lateinischer Dichtungen als poeta laureatus, und kam später als Professor an die Universität Wien, wo er am 27. Nov. 1539 starb. Niceron führt 16 verschiedene litterarische Leistungen von ihm auf, meistens Herausgaben und Uebersetzungen fremder Schriften.
