  • Biographical Presentation

    Stammvater ist Wolfgang Viechpeck von Habelspach (Reichsadel 1572, † 1576), Dr. iur., Rat und Kanzler zu Straubing, seit 1559 Kanzler zu Landshut (s. ADB X). Sein Sohn →Theodor († 1626) war bayerischer Geheimer Rat, Hofkammerpräsident, Generalkriegskommissar und Gesandter. Er nahm 1615 den Namen „Haimhausen“ nach dem Hauptbesitz bei Dachau an. 1622 wurde er Obristzeugmeister und kaufte 1625 die Herrschaften Kuttenplan, Heiligenkreuz und Neudorf in Böhmen (s. ADB X). – Reichsfreiherr 1671, Reichsgraf 1693.
