  • Biographical Presentation

    Nach einem Aufenthalt in Fulda, wo er unter Clemens Wenzeslaus Coudray arbeitete, und einem Zwischenaufenthalt in Frankfurt ging R. 1815 an die École des beaux-arts nach Paris, und setzte seine Studien unter Louis Hippolyte Lebas fort. Im Herbst 1817 kehrte er nach Frankfurt zurück, wo er u. a. für den christl. Teil des Frankfurter Hauptfriedhofs die Gruftenhalle, für den jüd. das Portal mit Vorhof entwarf. Darüber hinaus schuf er eine große Zahl herrschaftlicher Wohnhäuser für das Frankfurter Großbürgertum, u. a. mehrere Stadtvillen und Sommerresidenzen der Rothschilds.
