  • Biographical Presentation

    Hauer: Johann H., ein Nürnberger Maler, geb. 1586, Schüler von Hochheimer, fertigte viele perspectivische Zeichnungen. Er schliff auch optische Gläser und construirte sich mit denselben eine camera obscura, mit deren Hülfe er dann Gebäude und Personen leichter und richtiger zeichnete. Er † 1660.

    Rupprecht H., Nürnberger Architektur-Maler, Sohn des vorigen, Schüler seines Vaters, bildete sich besonders in Rom in seiner Kunst weiter aus. Bekannt von ihm sind eine innere Ansicht des Chors der Peterskirche in Rom vom J. 1633 und eine innere Ansicht des großen Saales im Rathhause zu Nürnberg mit der Huldigung des Kaisers Leopold als Staffage vom J. 1658, beide jetzt im Germanischen Museum zu Nürnberg. Er † 1667.
