  • Biographical Presentation

    A., bei A. Weichselbaum und A. Kolisko auf dem Gebiete der Pathologie und Bakteriologie ausgebildet, reiste 1897 als Mitglied der Kommission der Akademie der Wissenschaften zum Studium der Pest nach Bombay. 1899 habilitiert, wurde er 1902 außerordentlicher Professor, 1908 Leiter des Instituts für pathologische Histologie und Bakteriologie, 1913 Ordinarius für pathologische Anatomie in Graz, 1920 in Wien. Er veröffentlichte vor allem Arbeiten über Pest, Meningitis, Keuchhusten, Tuberkulose des Kindesalters und Onkologie (Lehre von den Geschwülsten). Wertvoll waren auch seine Serienuntersuchungen über Lageanomalien des Wurmfortsatzes.
