  • Biographical Presentation

    Magister Pankrotius ( 1564) aus Murrhardt (Württemberg) wurde von Landgraf Ludwig von Hessen 1528 als erster evangelischer Pfarrer nach Ober-Widdersheim (Kreis Büdingen) berufen. Sein Sohn Johannes (1534–91) ist der Stammvater dieser hessischen Familie, zu der auch gehören: Adolf (* 1856), Landschafts- und Tiermaler in München (siehe ThB), und Karl-Gustav (1857–1906), hessischer Oberbergrat, Landesgeologe und Petrograph, wesentlich beteiligt an der geologischen Aufnahme von Hessen-Darmstadt und der Erschließung der Taunusquellen (siehe BJ XI, Totenliste 1906; Pogg. IV).
