Biographical Presentation
Stadlmayer: Alphons St., Benedictiner, geb. zu Innsbruck 1610, † zu Weingarten am 19. Juli 1683. Er trat zu Weingarten in den Orden ein, legte am 29. October 1626 die Gelübde ab und wurde 1634 zum Priester geweiht. 1647 wurde er Professor an der Benedictiner-Universität Salzburg, zuerst der speculativen Theologie, 1652 der h. Schrift und der Apologetik. Von 1652—1673 war er zugleich Rector der Universität. Am 7. September 1673 wurde er zum Abt von Weingarten gewählt. Gedruckt sind von ihm Dissertationen „De legibus", 1650, „De visione beatifica“, 1655, „De Deo et attributis Deo propriis“, 1660.
