    Siegel: Michael S., geboren zu Thum im Meißnischen, vom Jahre 1623 an Cantor in Hayn, lieferte für das Meyfart’sche Lied: „Sag, was hilft alle Welt“ eine Melodie, die im 3. Theil des großen Gothaer Cantionals (1648) abgedruckt ist. Von seinen Lebensumständen scheint nichts weiteres bekannt zu sein.
