Biographical Presentation
Roth: Heinrich Balthasar R., geboren zu Gera am 4. December 1639, besuchte die Vorschulen hier und in Arnstadt, machte die juristischen Studien zu Jena, wurde 1663 Dr. juris, dann Rath der Grafen von Schwarzburg in Arnstadt, im J. 1676 Professor der Rechte in Jena, wo er am 9. October 1689 starb. Er hatte wiederholt das Decanat der Facultät und das Rectorat inne gehabt. Schriften: „De poenitentia et voluntatis mutatione" 1663; „De jure praecipui" 1676: „De fideiussoribus delinquentium" 1677; „De imperio paris in parem" eod.; „De interventione tertii“ 1678; „Jura sepulcrorum“ 1678. Alle in Jena erschienen.
