  • Biographical Presentation

    Ontrup: Johann Bernhard O., katholischer Geistlicher, geb. am 28. October 1773 zu Rinkerode im Münsterlande, † zu Goslar zwischen 1826 und 1828. Er machte seine Studien zu Münster, wurde 1797 zu Hildesheim Benedictiner, 1802 zum Priester geweiht, 1803 nach Aufhebung seines Klosters zweiter Pfarrer an der Klosterkirche, 1805 Pfarrer zu Goslar. Er hat von 1804—1809 einige katechetische Schriften, Gebetbücher und Predigten veröffentlicht. Sein „Kleiner Katechismus“, 1815, hat mehrere Auflagen erlebt, 1849 die siebente, und ist 1844 im Ermlande ins Polnische übersetzt worden.
