Biographical Presentation
Büttner: Georg Konrad B., geb. 2. Nov. 1648 zu Dresden, 1672 Auditor beim kursächsischen Reiterregiment Herzog Moritz, 1676 geheimer Secretär, 1682 Hof- und Consistorialrath in Zeitz, 1682 solcher in Jena, 1683 Kammerrath daselbst, 1684 Hof- und Consistorialrath in Arnstadt, als welcher er 20. April 1693 während einer Badekur in Teplitz starb. Er dichtete fünf wirksam gewordene Lieder, ohne sich als ihren Verfasser genannt zu haben, was erst sein Sohn Christian Ludwig B., schwarzb. Rath und Bibliothekar in Arnstadt, in einer 1718 an Dr. Olearius gerichteten „Epistola de auctore quorundam Canticorum ecclesiasticorum hactenus ignoto“ that. Am meisten bürgerte sich der von Büttner's Freund, Adam Drese, componirte Abschiedsgesang ein: „Egypten, Egypten, gute Nacht“. — Leichenpredigt des Superintendenten Joh. Gottfried Olearius in Arnstadt 1694 gedruckt: „Megalogia de cruce Christianorum“.
