Biographical Presentation
Büttner: Erhard B., geb. um 1580 zu Römhild, wurde um 1615 Cantor zu Coburg und endete 19. Januar 1625 „wegen begangenen Ehebruchs und darauf erfolgter Melancholie“ selbst sein Leben. Er hat sich als Kirchencomponist durch mehrere gedruckte musikalische Productionen ("Psalm 46 und 127 für 8 Stimmen“, Coburg 1617 und 1622; „Oda Paradisiana“, ebenda; μέλος εὐχάϱιτον oder Singen wir aus Herzensgrund“ mit 6 Stimmen, ebendas. 1624) und als musikalischer Schriftsteller („Rudimenta Musicae“, 1625 und 1627) rühmlich hervorgethan.
