Biographical Presentation
Munz: Georg Christoph M., geb. am 19. März 1691 zu Nürnberg, studirte in Altorf, ward dann Hauslehrer in Leipzig, stand seit 1716 in verschiedenen Kirchen- und Schulämtern zu Nürnberg, ward 1736 Rector in Saalfeld, 1740 (oder 1741) Pastor zu Markt-Gölitz und kam 1743 als Pastor und Superintendenturadjunct nach Gräfenthal, wo er am 13. Februar 1768 starb. Er war Mitglied des Pegnesischen Blumenordens unter dem Namen Philodectus. — M. hat geistliche Lieder gedichtet, von denen 24 Aufnahme fanden in der von dem Buchdrucker Georg Christoph Rümler zu Nürnberg herausgegebenen Sammlung: „Evangelische Sterbe- und Todespsalmen“, I. 1764, II. 1765; vgl. die Vorrede.
