  • Biographical Presentation

    A. studierte in Giessen, Marburg, Helmstedt, Kopenhagen und wurde in Kiel 1679 zum Dr. theol. promoviert. 1686 wurde er Generalsuperintendent der Grafschaft Oldenburg und Hauptpastor an St. Lamberti in Oldenburg. Bekannt ist er durch seinen Streit mit dem zum reformierten Bekenntnis übergetretenen Pastor Steffens wie durch seinen Katechismus, der bis 1798 im Lande als Lehrbuch gebraucht wurde.
