  • Biographical Presentation

    Lassus: Ferdinand de L. Sohn des gleichnamigen Ferdinand de L., also Enkel des Orlandus de L., gehörte zu Lebzeiten seines Vaters zu den Singknaben der herzoglichen Kapelle. Im J. 1609 ging er auf Kosten des Herzogs nach Rom, um dort sich weiter auszubilden und erhielt nach seiner Rückkehr, welche 1616 erfolgte, die erste Kapellmeisterstelle am herzoglichen Hofe. Doch bereits im J. 1629 bekam er aus bis jetzt nicht bekannt gewordenen Gründen seine Entlassung und wurde zum Districtsrichter und Kassirer in Reischach ernannt, wo er 1636 starb. Er war ein sehr fruchtbarer Componist, wie das Verzeichniß bei Dehn S. 137 beweist. Wir finden da viele Messen. Motetten. Madrigale etc. verzeichnet. Im Druck erschien nur „Apparatus musicus octo vocum“, Monachii 1622.
