  • Biographical Presentation

    B. studierte in Bonn, Heidelberg und Berlin (1896 Approbation und Promotion in Würzburg). Er war Spitalarzt für Dermatologie in Berlin und Dozent an der Volkshochschule Berlin-Lichtenberg. B. ist bekannt als der Begründer der Sexualwissenschaft und Vorkämpfer der Sexualreform. Die meisten seiner Werke beziehen sich auf diese Fragen. Er war der Hauptvertreter der Lehre vom amerikanischen Ursprung der Syphilis, der allerdings umstritten ist.
