Biographical Presentation
Agricola: Georg Ludwig A., Magister und Musiker, geb. zu Großen-Furra bei Sondershausen 25. Oct. 1643, besuchte die Gymnasien zu Eisenach und Gotha und studirte darauf zu Leipzig und Wittenberg Theologie, wurde jedoch 1670 Capellmeister zu Gotha, † 20. Febr. 1676. Gedruckt sind von ihm: „Buß- und Communionlieder" mit 5 und mehr St., Gotha 1675; „Deutsche geistl. Madrigalien" mit 2—6 St., ebd. 1675; „Musikalische Nebenstunden in etlichen Conaten, Präludien, Allemanden etc.“ mit 2 Violinen, 2 Violen und Generalbaß, Mühlh. 1670 (Becker, Tonw.); „Sonaten, Präludien, Allemanden etc. auf französische Art“, 3 Thle., Gotha 1675. — (Gerber, N.
