  • Biographical Presentation

    A. studierte 1909-1914 unter →E. Erdmann in Halle, war dann als Chemiker bei verschiedenen militärischen Dienststellen tätig, lehrte 1921-22 an der Gewerbehochschule Köthen und wirkte seit 1922 als Privatdozent (mit Titel Professor) und Abteilungsvorsteher des chemisch-technischen Instituts an der Technischen Hochschule Darmstadt. A.s Arbeit galt vor allem der Brennstofftechnologie; insbesondere für die Erkenntnis der physikalischen und chemischen Eigenschaften der Kohle und der Vorgänge bei der Verwertung und Veredelung hat er Wesentliches geleistet.
