    Betulius: Christian B., geb. 1619 zu Wildenstein in Böhmen, † 26. Jan. 1677; 1646 Lehrer am Egidiengymnasium in Nürnberg, darauf Pfarrer in Balzenheim, 1655 Rector und „Extraordinarprediger“ in Oettingen, 1657—1660 ohne Amt in Nördlingen, 1660 Diakonus in Blaubeuren (Würtemberg), sodann Klosterpräceptor in Hirsau bei Calw, 1668 Pfarrer in Dußlingen bei Tübingen, zuletzt Stadtpfarrer in Sindelfingen. — Ein jüngerer Bruder Sigmunds von Birken, gehörte auch er dem Blumenorden an und gab Lieder heraus: „Christ. Betulii andächtiger Gotteslieder das erste XII aus der Nordlingerschen Druckerei bey Fried. Schulers 1658." Von diesem Dutzend erhielten sich: „Du feiges Herz, was zagest du etc.“, „O wie tüchtig, o wie richtig ist das Himmelleben etc.“ (Parodie zu Mich. Frank's: „Ach wie nichtig, ach wie flüchtig ist der Menschen Leben etc.").
