  • Biographical Presentation

    B. war in napoleonischer Zeit Maire, nach 1814 Oberbürgermeister und schließlich Landrat in Bonn. Er hat an der Errichtung der preußischen Universität in Bonn erheblichen Anteil. Seine zweite Frau, eine Jugendfreundin Beethovens, hat um 1790 im „Zehrgarten“ in Bonn einen literarisch und künstlerisch hochstehenden Kreis um sich gesammelt.
