Biographical Presentation
Hiäre: Thomas H., geb. 1638 zu Nyen in Ingermannland, wurde 1669 Inspector des Guts Werder in Esthland, woselbst er im Juli 1678 gestorben ist. Von seinen handschriftlich hinterlassenen Werken ist zu nennen dir Esth-, Lyf- und Lettländische Geschichte, welche in 7 Büchern die Vergangenheit jener Gegenden von der Sagenzeit an bis zum Jahre 1639 behandelt — eine wenig lesbare Compilation aus bekannten Quellen; die im Archiv der livländischen Ritterschaft befindlichen Collectanea. betreffend die liefländischen Historien und was zu deren Erklärung nöthig, früher von Bedeutung wegen Benutzung der in Schweden|vorhandenen livländischen Archivschätze; endlich eine Geschichte der Erzbischöfe von Riga in der Bibliothek der mecklenburgischen Ritterschaft.
