  • Biographical Presentation

    H. vereinigte nach dem Tode seines Bruders Adalbert II. 1170 Dillingen wieder mit Kyburg. Nach dem Tode Graf Arnolds IV. von Lenzburg-Baden 1172 übernahm er dessen Erbe und auch den östlichen Teil der Grafschaft im Zürichgau. Er gründete 1178 die Stadt Diessenhofen am Rhein und um die gleiche Zeit die Stadt Winterthur (erwähnt 1180), die zum Mittelpunkt des kyburgischen Stammgebietes wurde.
