    Gesler: Johann Georg G., geb. am 25. Juni 1734 zu Memmingen, erst Strumpfwirkergeselle, dann Student, Schriftsteller und Corrector in Lindau bei dem Buchhändler Otto; flüchtete seiner Schriften wegen in die Schweiz, von da nach Frankreich, wo er 1789 in einem Dorfe unweit von Paris starb. Anonym erschienen: „Verse und Erzählungen", 1760. „Moral. satyr. Allerlei", 1764. „Span.-jesuitische Anekdoten“, 1767 (wurden überall verbrannt). „Der Rechtschaffene“, eine Wochenschrift, 1765.
