    Balonfeaux: Johann Georg v. B., aus französischem Geschlechte, geb. zu Luxemburg, † 21. Juni 1726, Herr von Rollingen bei Bous, Mitglied des Provincialrathes von Luxemburg, war ein ausgezeichneter Alterthumsforscher und berühmter Numismatiker, und stand mit den größten Gelehrten seiner Zeit in Verbindung. Mit seiner Sammlung römischer Münzen und Urnen bedachte er letztwillig die Armen. Er hinterließ im Manuscript (8 Bände) eine Geschichte Luxemburgs und der angrenzenden Lande.
