Biographical Presentation
Die Familie Farenheid ist angeblich um 1500 aus Rostock in Königsberg (Preußen) eingewandert und gehörte schon im 17. Jahrhundert zu den angesehensten Bürgerfamilien. Reinhold († 1736) legte bereits einen Teil seines Geldes in Grundbesitz an, →Reinhold Friedrich (1703–81) wurde durch seinen ausgebreiteten Handel der reichste Mann Ostpreußens und stiftete 1764 ein Armenhaus in Königsberg.
