    Engelhart: Johann Georg E., geb. am 15. October 1740 zu Cronach, im J. 1759 in Bamberg zum Dr. phil. promovirt, studirte darauf Jurisprudenz, erlangte im J. 1771 eine außerordentliche Professur der Rechte zu Bamberg und im November desselben Jahres die juristische Doctorwürde. Zugleich war er fürstl. Hofrath und auch kaiserl. Pfalzgraf. Gest. zu Bamberg 1776. Seine dem Staatsrechte gewidmeten Arbeiten sind nicht ohne Geschick und lassen den frühen Tod bedauern. — „Diss. can.-publ. de bonorum ecclesiastico-dotalium collectibilitate“, Bamb. 1771. 4.
