Biographical Presentation
Die Familie stammt aus dem Luxemburgischen, wo sie seit Mitte 17. Jh. als Bauernfamilie nachweisbar ist. →Dominik (1702–79) brachte es vom kleinen Handwerker zum Verwalter der Herrschaft Bourscheid. Der Sohn →Dominik (1730–1815) wurde sein Nachfolger, gründete in Holsthum Kr. Bitburg eine Glashütte und setzte seinen Sohn →Johann Matthias Dominik (1754–1836) als Direktor ein. 1820 kam die Glashütte zum Erliegen.
