Einhorn, Max Einold

  • Biographical Presentation

    E. erhielt 1877 die Priesterweihe, wurde 1886 Professor am Priesterseminar in Trier, 1902 auch Domkapitular. Er war ein theologischer Lehrer von stark apologetischen Interessen, der auch in den Tagesstreit durch Broschüren und Kanzelvorträge eingriff. Bekannt ist seine Fehde gegen den Führer des Evangelischen Bundes, W. Beyschlag. Er wirkte positiv durch die Mitbegründung der theologischen Zeitschrift „Pastor bonus“ und durch die Schaffung eines eingehenden dogmatischen Lehrbuches. Er nahm gegen den Reformkatholizismus der Jahrhundertwende Stellung.
