    Eilard: Christoph E., geb. 1585 in einem Dorfe bei Oldenburg, gest. 28. April 1639, studirte in Königsberg, wo er am 1. Octbr. 1611 Magister|der Philosophie wurde und bald hernach eine Lehrerstelle am Pädagogium erhielt, 1618 wurde er Professor der Poesie an der dortigen Universität und verfaßte als solcher (1630) das Festgedicht zur Jubelfeier der Augsburger Confession; kurz vor seinem Tode (1638) übernahm er auch die Professur der Physik. Einige Disputationsschriften desselben, welcher die philosophische Auffassung des Staates betreffen, nennt D. H. Arnoldt, Historie der Königsbergischen Universität, Bd. II. S. 401 und 463.
