  • Biographical Presentation

    Eichmann: Karl E., Rechtsgelehrter, ältester Sohn von Johann Bernhard Christoph E. (s. d.), geb. 1785 zu Altenburg, † im Juli 1855 zu Jena. Auf der Landesschule in Pforta vorgebildet, besuchte er 1805—8 die Universitäten Jena und Leipzig, wurde 1809 in Altenburg Advocat und nach Erlangung des juristischen Doctorgrads Hofadvocat. 1816 als ordentlicher Professor der Rechte und Oberappellationsrath nach Jena berufen, nahm er in einem Anfall von Schwermuth 1836 seine Entlassung. Er schrieb: „Epistolae de non usus vi, natura atque historia“, 1811; „Der Kriegsschäden-Ersatz nach Grundsätzen des Civilrechts“, 1813; „Ueber Vorzüge und Mängel des Sächsischen bürgerlichen Prozesses“, 1816; „Sylloge observationum prisci iuris Saxonici“, 1827 bis 1829.
