    Der Stammvater des rhein.-westfäl. Adelsgeschlechts ist der jül.-berg. Kanzler Dietrich Lunynck († 1494). Dessen Söhne wurden zum berg. und ravensberg. Adel gerechnet, u. a.: →Wilhelm († 1530), 1484-1528 in der jül.-berg. Kanzlei tätig, und →Dietrich († 1538), Drost zu Ravensberg.
