  • Biographical Presentation

    R., wie sein Bruder Adrian am Münchner Jesuitengymnasium und durch seinen Vater ausgebildet, stand seit 1772 in kfl. Diensten (1777 Hofkammerrat). Er wirkte v. a. unterstützend im Hintergrund und war zeitweilig der faktische Stellvertreter seines Bruders. Von R. sind gut 100 handgezeichnete Karten erhalten. Außerdem trat er als Brückenkonstrukteur hervor (u. a. Isarbrücke b. Ismaning 1799). 1805 beaufsichtigte er im Inspektionsbezirk Mühldorf den Straßen- und Wasserbau. Nach Zwischenstufen u. a. bei der Steuervermessungskommission wurde er 1808 zum Landbauinspektor des Isarkreises ernannt (1826 Pensionierung). Im Stadtbild Münchens hat R. mit dem Neubau des Lorenzi-Trakts im Alten Hof und der Fronfeste am Anger (1913 abgebrochen) Spuren hinterlassen.|
