    Heylanus: Petrus H., ein Niederländer aus der ersten Hälfte des 16. Jahrhunderts, von dem wir in Sammelwerken dieser Zeit, die in Löwen und Nürnberg erschienen, 7 Motetten zu 3 bis 5 Stimmen und eine Chanson zu 4 Stimmen besitzen. Der englische Geschichtschreiber Burney spendet ihm großes Lob und sagt: man möchte wol nicht leicht Compositionen finden, die bei so viel Kunst eine solche Grazie entwickeln.
