Biographical Presentation
Brückner: Johann Georg B., geb. 12. März 1701 zu Coburg, † im Jahre 1771 zu Gotha, studirte zu Halle seit 1719 Theologie, dann 1720 zu Jena. Er wurde erst Informator bei Privatleuten, dann 1728 Pagenhofmeister bei der verwittweten Herzogin von Sachsen-Coburg-Meiningen, 1733 Cabinetsprediger, 1735 Hofprediger zu Gotha und 1745 Oberhofprediger und Oberconsistorialrath. Von ihm ist die sehr brauchbare „Sammlung verschiedener Nachrichten zu einer Beschreibung des Kirchen- und Schulenstaates im Herzogthum Gotha“, 3 Theile, Gotha 1753—1764. 4º.
