  • Biographical Presentation

    Reeb: Georg R., Jesuit, geb. 1593 zu Eichstädt, † 1662 zu München. Er trat 1615 in den Orden, war Professor der Philosophie und 13 Jahre der Theologie, Rector zu Mindelheim und Dillingen; bei dem Einfalle der Schweden wurde er für einige Zeit als Gefangener nach Ulm geführt. Seine „Axiomata philosophica frequentius tradita“, und „Distinctiones philosophicae, quarum in omni disputatione frequentior est usus“, beide zuerst 1629, haben drei bezw. vier Auflagen erlebt. Außerdem hat er ein dreibändiges Werk „Prudentiaechristianae regulae“, 1636 veröffentlicht und 1652 eine vermehrte Ausgabe des Trithemius besorgt.
