Biographical Presentation
Geizkofler: Lucas G. von Reiffenegg, geb. am 18. März 1550 zu Sterzing in Tirol, studirte in Augsburg, Straßburg und Paris 1572, wo er ein Augenzeuge der Bartholomäusnacht war, ging dann Ende 1572 über Troyes und Besançon nach Dole und Straßburg, 1575 nach Padua. 1577 treffen wir ihn am Reichskammergericht zu Speier, 1578 in Dole, wo er als Doctor juris utriusque promovirte. Hierauf ließ er sich in Augsburg als Rechtsanwalt, insbesondere im Dienste der Fugger nieder, heirathete daselbst 1590 und starb auch dort 1620. Seine nach allen Seiten höchst lehrreiche Selbstbiographie ist herausgegeben von Adam Wolf, Wien 1873.
