    Klieber: Urban K., Bildhauer, geb. zu Talfs am 22. Mai 1711, † am 25. März 1803, Vater des Josef Klieber. Derselbe erlernte die Anfangsgründe seiner Kunst bei dem Bildhauer Reindl in Stams und bildete sich später bei dem Bildhauer Schletterer in Wien aus, worauf er sich in Innsbruck bleibend niederließ. Zu seinen Werken zählen die Statuen des Hochaltars und zweier Seitenaltäre, dann die Kanzel in der Mariahilfer Kirche in Innsbruck, mehrere Statuen in der Kirche zu Neustift in Stubeythale, der Altar in der Schloßcapelle zu Weierburg, die Porträts der Päpste Pius VI. und Pius VII. (Eigenthum der Familie Wörndle), die Grabdenkmale des Kanzlers Freih. von Hormayr und des Grafen Paris Wolkenstein auf dem Friedhof in Innsbruck und des Grafen Leopold von Trapp in der Pfarrkirche zu Bozen.
