  • Biographical Presentation

    B. zog 1485 von Nürnberg nach Augsburg und verstand es, sich durch Großhandel, Beteiligung am Tiroler Bergbau (Silberverträge) und groß angelegte Finanzgeschäfte (Darlehen an den Kaiser) eine führende Stellung zusichern. 1502 ernannte ihn Maximilian zum kaiserlichen Rat und übertrug ihm die Pflege Ehrenberg bei Füssen.
