Biographical Presentation
Meibom: Brandan M., Mediciner, Bruder Hermann Dietrichs (s. u.), geb. zu Helmstedt 1678, † daselbst 1740. Er wurde 1701 Doctor der Medicin zu Utrecht und erhielt 1707 die Professur der Pathologie und Semiotik zu Helmstedt, dazu 1717 die Professur der Botanik und die Direction des botanischen Gartens. Anhänger der Sydenham’schen Richtung. Verzeichniß seiner Schriften bei Jöcher-Rotermund IV, 1196.
