Biographical Presentation
Schott: Johann S., geboren zu Markt Schorgast im J. 1746, † zu Bamberg am 29. April 1798. Er tritt zuerst auf als Canonicus von St. Jakob in Bamberg, wurde 1765 Dr. phil., 1770 Dr. theol., lehrte daselbst von 1776 bis 1795 das Canonische Recht, war auch seit 23. Juli 1789 Decan seines Stifts, fürstbisch. geistlicher Rath, zuletzt auch geheimer Referendär in geistlichen Angelegenheiten. Schriften: „Diss. de legatis natis.“ Bamb. 1778, 4°; „Diss. de jure perpetuae legationis apostolicae per dioeceses Bamberg., Ratisbon. et Misnensem archiepiscopo Pragensi haud competente.“ ib. 1781, 4°; „Bemerkungen über das Resultat des Embser Kongresses. Mit Deutscher Freymüthigkeit entworfen. Fiat Lux. Athen und Damiat 1785 (anonym bei Gebhard in Bamberg).
