Biography
Crusius: Jakob Andreas C., Rechtsgelehrter, Sohn des Juristen Christoph C. (Crause), geb. 9. Nov. 1636 in Hannover, † ebenda 16. August 1680. Er studirte in Wittenberg, Leipzig, Helmstädt Jurisprudenz und Theologie, machte Reisen durch Deutschland, Holland, Frankreich und erwarb 1662 in Helmstädt den juristischen Doctorgrad. 1663 wurde er Syndicus in Minden, 1676 Advocat in seiner Vaterstadt, 1678 Hof- und Regierungsrath. Von seinen Schriften (siehe Jöcher) erwähnen wir die „Opuscula varia politico-iuridico-historica“, 1668. Auch gab er das „Jus statutarium reipublicae Mindensis“, 1674, und seines Vaters Monographie „De tortura“, 1682, 1704 mit Anmerkungen heraus.
