    Vulpius: Hermann V. ist der Dichter eines sog. Abendreigens, der mit den Worten beginnt: „Nun komm herzu, du junge Schar, was ich euch sing, das nehmet wahr“, nach der Melodie: Vom Himmel hoch u. s. f. Das Lied findet sich als erstes von vier Liedern gedruckt in einer Vierliedersammlung, die zuerst in Nürnberg bei Kunigund Hergotin um das Jahr 1535 erschien und|sodann noch mehrfach herausgegeben ward. Es fand dann Aufnahme in vielen Gesangbüchern des 16. und der ersten Hälfte des 17. Jahrhunderts. Von dem Dichter ist nichts weiteres bekannt; es ist nicht einmal sicher, daß er in Nürnberg gelebt hat.
