    B. war nach Studienreisen in Italien zuerst Mitarbeiter seines Vaters in St. Urban, dann seines Schwagers Peter Thumb in Rheinau. 1732-35 erbaute er abgeändert die von seinem Vater 1719 entworfene Klosterkirche in Katharinental bei Dießenhofen am Rhein (1732–35). Sein größter Bau ist das Konventgebäude in St. Blasien im Schwarzwald (1728–42). Später wandte er sich dem Festungsbauwesen zu.
