    Angelus: Johann A., Professor der Astronomie in Wien, geb. 2. März 1463 zu Aichen in Baiern, † 29. Sept. 1512 in Wien, war ein Schüler des Regiomontanus und veröffentlichte Ephemeriden der Himmelskörper nach den Tafeln seines Lehrers; er schrieb auch ein Project zur Verbesserung des Kalenders. Ceinen Ephemeriden von 1489 fügte er Prognostika hinzu. Ferner schrieb er ein „Astrolabium planum cum aequationibus domorum coeli“ 1494 und über „Albumazaris de magnis conjunctionibus“ 1489. — (Jöcher, Adelung).
