  • Biographical Presentation

    Plantsch: Martin P., Professor der Theologie an der Universität zu Tübingen — geb. um 1460 zu Dornstetten in Würtemberg, † am 18. Juli 1533 — wurde an der neugegründeten Universität zu Tübingen am ersten Immatriculationstage — 14. September 1477 — inscribirt, erlangte bereits 1483 die Magisterwürde an der Artisten- und 1494 dieselbe an der theologischen Facultät, an welcher er schon seit 1488 vorgetragen hatte. Auch wirkte er als Prediger an der Stiftskirche zum heil. Georg. Im J. 1523 soll er dem Religionsgespräche zu Zürich beigewohnt haben, aber ungewiß welchem, ob dem am 29. Januar oder dem am 26—28. October. Eine Stiftung von ihm, ein Collegienhaus für 12—18 Stipendiaten besteht heute noch zu Tübingen unter dem Namen Martinihaus, gewöhnlich „Neuer Bau“ genannt. Auch ist er der Verfasser einer kleinen Schrift: „Opusculum de sagis maleficis“, welche 50 Blätter in 4° stark im J. 1507 im Drucke erschienen ist.
