    V Georg Ludwig Andrae, Kaufmann und Gutsbesitzer;
    M Dorothee Elisabeth Stahl aus Holstein;
    ⚭ Helene, T des Rittergutsbesitzers Flügge; 11 K, u. a. Marie (Pseudonym M. Andrae-Romanek, ⚭ Trommershausen), zunächst Lehrerin und Krankenschwester, wurde Romanschriftstellerin und veröffentlichte Erinnerungen an ihr Elternhaus.

  • Biographical Presentation

    A. studierte in Berlin und Bonn, wo er in Beziehung zu E. M. Arndt, F. Ch. Dahlmann und G. Kinkel trat, bildete sich theoretisch und praktisch zum Landwirt und kaufte sich 1845 in Pommern an (zuletzt Gut Roman, Kreis Kolberg); seit 1881 lebte er in Stettin. Er war mit →Bismarck befreundet. Wie dieser durch seine Gattin, so trat A. (1846) dem Kreis der pommerschen Erweckungsbewegung um →Moritz von Blanckenburg bei. Mit Wort, Tat und Feder wirkte er in der inneren Mission Pommerns und trat als Politiker, seit 1848 auch als konservativer Abgeordneter und Redner hervor.
