  • Biographical Presentation

    Taxis: Johann Baptista v. T., ein Sohn des Füssener Postmeisters Innocenz (S. 495), stieg als heldenmüthiger und umsichtiger Officier der spanischen Armada in den Niederlanden rasch zum Obersten empor und stand bei Alexander Farnese im höchsten Ansehen, fiel aber bereits in einem Alter von 36 Jahren bei einer Recognoscirung der von ihm belagerten Stadt Bonn am 20. April 1588.
