  • Biographical Presentation

    Sultz: Maria Cleophe, Gräfin zu S., Tochter des Markgrafen zu Baden-Durlach Ernst, der zu Pforzheim residirte. Sie heirathete im J. 1548 den Grafen Wilhelm v. S., der schon im J. 1549 starb, und starb selbst am 28. April 1580. Von ihr erschienen im J. 1570 „Zwei neue Lieder“, auf 4 Blättern in Octav ohne Angaben des Druckers; es sind geistliche Lieder, in denen eine in großem Leid befindliche Seele ihr festes Gottvertrauen ausspricht. Sie sind abgedruckt bei Wackernagel, Das deutsche Kirchenlied IV, 707 ff.
