Biographical Presentation
Stucki: Johann Rudolf St. (Stuckius, Stuck), reformirter Theologe, † 1660. Als Sproß eines alten schweizerischen Theologengeschlechtes wurde St. in Zürich gegen Ende des 16. Jahrhunderts geboren und hat dort sein ganzes Leben lang als Geistlicher und gelehrter Theologe im Dienst gestanden. Erst war er an der Abteikirche daselbst Prediger, danach Professor der Rhetorik und Logik, sodann der Theologie, zuletzt Scholarcha und Bibliothecarius. Er schrieb: „Comment. in Synopsin theol. Breitingeri"; „Examen dialogi de religione"; „Disputatio de paedobaptismo"; „De S. Coena"; „De festis christianorum"; „de missa"; „de peccato originali"; „de praedicamentis Mosis"; „de jejunio"; „de baptismo"; „de resipiscentia“. Er starb am 27. April 1660 im 65. Lebensjahre.
